As the Coordinator in the New Media Area of the City Government of Buenos Aires, I was part of team -led by Ernesto Skidelsky- that revamped its digital strategies, with the aim of building more direct channels of communication with the citizenry. Afterwards, as the event-planning curator at the Metropolitan Design Center, I was provided the chance to build relationships with local and global personalities of the creative industry.
As the event curator of events at the Metropolitan Design Center, I promoted proposals such as courses from Central St. Martins (University of the Arts London), the TRIMARCHI international design meeting and the VISIONES trends seminar. Additionally, through the leadership of Laura Salles (Coordinator of the Design District) and in collaboration with the architect Sofía Rolleri, I promoted several open calls for proposals, among them the terms and conditions of the mural contest meant for the improvement of public spaces in Barracas.
“Julia strongly stands out by possessing two key skills: 1. The leadership of people, by inspiring and giving meaning to the work of others, as well as facilitating and removing barriers that ensure the growth of their stakeholders. 2. Curiosity and empowerment, which naturally lead her to conduct new and challenging initiatives”
